  • SHAPE : Large and treelike or tall clusters of stems.
  • RIBS : Usually straight and pronounced even more so.
  • AREOLE : Small to large and woolly.
  • SPINES : Usually spiny, tree form usually strong and thick often falling off with age.
  • FLOWERS : Late Spring/Summer, usually large, funnel-form fragrant white and opening at night and finished by mid morning, towards the top of the plant.
