He  formally trained in horticulture at Longwood Gardens, in the USA, The  RHS Garden at Wisley and Kew Gardens. Although his major interest is  orchids, particularly Cymbidium, he has additional collections of  Pelargonium, Bulbs, Terrestrial Bromeliads and a range of Succulents,  particularly Aloe, Haworthia and Gasteria.

With  over 500 species of 'Aloe' and countless hybrids, there is bound to be  something of interest for everyone. This talk will explore some of the  special features of Aloe and highlight some of the speaker's favourite  plants.
